The Eat Legit Family

It all began on a memorable evening around a kitchen counter in Leander, Texas. Ty & Michelle, South African expats, were hosting a gathering with friends. Michelle, renowned for her talent in creating exquisite charcuterie boards, decided to incorporate some of their homemade Biltong onto the spread. Little did she know that this simple addition would lead to a remarkable culinary revelation.

As their friends indulged in the charcuterie board, they were captivated by the exceptional flavor and irresistible texture of the Biltong. Curiosity sparked, and the questions started pouring in. "What is this remarkable delicacy?". While it resembled jerky, the taste was incomparable—1000% better, in fact. They couldn't fathom that Ty & Michelle had crafted it themselves.

Eager to share their passion for Biltong, Ty & Michelle proudly showcased their "biltong room," explaining the meticulous process behind its creation. They also shared the remarkable fact that Biltong holds a special place as its own food group in South Africa. In that very moment, their friends unanimously declared that this exceptional treat had to be shared with the world. And so Eat Legit was born...

Driven by a deep desire to spread the magic of Biltong, Ty & Michelle embarked on a mission to make it accessible to all. They poured their hearts and souls into perfecting their craft, ensuring that every bite of Eat Legit's Biltong would deliver an unforgettable experience. Today, their commitment to excellence and passion for authentic flavors continue to be the driving forces behind Eat Legit's success.
